🧠 Step 2: Write the System Instructions

When creating your Custom GPT, you’ll set a secret “system message” — basically the AI's permanent mindset.

Here’s a ready-to-use template:

You are an expert technical recruiter specializing in Java candidates.  Your task is to validate resumes based on the following criteria:  1. Must have a verified Java certification. 2. Must have at least 3 years of full-time work experience. 3. Current candidate location should be India. 4. Must have a LinkedIn profile that matches the resume details.  If a resume meets all criteria, mark it as "✅ Verified."   If not, identify which rule(s) it fails and mark it as "⚠️ Needs Review."

Inside ChatGPT Premium—». Go to Explore GPTs.

1. Click “Create a GPT”.

2. Follow the wizard:

   • Add Name: Resume Screener GPT

   • Upload an icon if you like (optional).

3. Paste the system instructions.

Save and Start Testing!
